Annual County Football Competition

The month of June is the annual County Armagh football competition at Brownlow House, Lurgan. Brownlow House, formerly called Lurgan House, is Lurgan’s grandest secular building. Erected by Charles Brownlow, it is constructed in the Elizabethan style using sandstone imported from Scotland. Most of this building dated from 1836 though it also contains parts of the older house, dating from the 17th century. Currently the building is going through major repair work both inside & out but parts of the building is open.

There are a number of categories within the 5-a-side competition with Parkmount put a team into the Under 13's group. Only the winners of each group moved on to the finals with the lodge coming 3rd in their group. Next it would be hoped that we could field more teams in the other categories.

Parkmount won the Under 10's trophy in 2004 and were Runners Up in 2005. Both in 2004 & 2005 the Under 13's team progressed the the final stage.
